Spectator Access Map:
Spectator Area Schedule

Parc Expose and Service Area Schedule
The Fir Mtn spectator site is located at the top
of Fir Mtn Rd, at the intersection with Huskey
Road. It's only 5.6 miles from Hwy 35, with only
the last 1.3 miles on gravel. Turning east off
of Hwy 35 onto Fir Mtn. Road, follow the road
(35 mph speed limit) as it starts to climb up
the hill. At 2.55 miles the speed limit reduces
to 30 mph, as the centerline disappears. At
4.35 miles, reduce your speed to less than 25
mph as the road turns to gravel. Remember, this
is a two way road.
As you approach the spectator site cars will be
parked on the right side of the road ONLY. If
you proceed to the stop line at the turnaround
without finding a parking spot, turnaround and
retrack to find a parking space. DO NOT PARK
ON THE DOWNHILL (EXITING) SIDE OF THE ROAD.
Spectating is allowed on the hillside on the
inside of the corner. Access across the rally
route is monitored by the rally marshals, and
is only allowed at the one designated crossing
point. As you walk up the access road toward
the spectating area intersection, follow the
walking path to the left which leads through
the pine trees to the rally road crossing path.
You can only pass across the road when directed
to do so by the attending rally marshal. OBEY
ALL INSTRUCTIONS.
Viewing will be allowed from atop the burm
above the apex of the corner. Spectators will
have an excellent view of cars coming and
going, as well as a birds eye view of the cars
negotiating the corner. Cars will be traveling
both directions during the day.
Alternate viewing will be allowed from the
outside of the intersection, but well away
from the roadway. Spectators may come and go
from this spectator site at any time, as it is
not stage locked and Fir Mtn Road down the hill
will remain open at all times.
The Mosier Jump Spectating Site is a stage
locked viewing location that requires an escort
in along the stage route. It is along a straight
stretch of forest road, tree lined along one
side and cleared on the other side. Spectators
have a large side road loop for parking next to
the crest in the rally road. This site can only
be driven to. It is too far in to walk.
Spectators must await escort in and out. Allow
a minimum of 40 minutes to travel from Odell to
the Mosier Jump Spectator site.
The Mosier Jump Spectating Site is accessed from
Mosier. Travel east of Hood River (I-84 exit 64).
Take exit 69 (Mosier). At the offramp stop sign,
zero your trip odometer and proceed into Mosier
(speed limit 25 mph). At .28 miles turn Right at
Washington Street. Located here is the Mosier
Market, and the Route 30 roadside refreshments
stand. Check out the ice cream parlor and the
vintage Porsches on display inside! One block
up Washington St. turn left onto 3rd Avenue. At
.52 miles (as you round a bend) turn right
uphill onto Huskey Road (speed limit 45 mph).
At 2.35 miles the pavement ends. Reduce your
speed to less than 30mph (two way traffic and
residences). At 3.6 miles the road narrows even
more (25 mph).
At 4.7 miles you will arrive at the escort
rendezvous at the intersection of Huskey and
Elder roads. Before each stage running cars
leaving the stage are escorted out of the stage
(to travel down Huskey Rd to Mosier). In coming
spectators are then escorted into the stage.
This is your only opportunity to gain access
to the Jump site. You will have to remain at
this rally viewing rendezvous location until
the escort returns again after the next stage
passage. OBEY ALL RALLY MARSHAL'S INSTRUCTIONS.
AT&T cellular phone coverage is quite good at
all three spectator locations mentioned here.
Here are some of the views you can see at the
event, courtesy of Mike Nagle our spectator
area coordinator.
